Dr. Rany Bous was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He attended Cairo University where he received his Bachelor’s of Oral and Dental Medicine. Dr. Bous moved to Cleveland for a Fellowship of Orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University, where he then completed his residency and received his Master’s degree in orthodontics in 2019.
Dr. Bous continued his training at Case Western Reserve University and did a fellowship in Craniofacial, Surgical and Special Care Orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Bous has specialized training and works with patients with special needs, cleft lip and palate, congenital craniofacial deformities, and complex surgical orthodontics. He is highly involved with the American Cleft-Palate Craniofacial Association and reviewing for the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal. He is also a peer reviewer of scientific articles submitted for publication to the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Cleveland Society of Orthodontics, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists and the Ohio Dental Association as well as many more. In 2019, he was the recipient of the Edward Reiter Cleft Palate Grant from Mt. Sinai Healthcare Foundation and Best Oral Health Poster Abstract Award from The American Academy of Pediatrics. He is currently Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics, Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Bous grew up in a family of physicians, so the medical field has always been home to him. He studied orthodontics because of the positive impact that it can make on the patients’ self-esteem, confidence, and quality of life. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing soccer.
Dr. Sofia Xofylli was born in Cologne, Germany and spent part of her childhood in Illinois. She originally is from Thessaloniki, Greece, where she grew up, went to school, and where her family now resides. She attended the Dental School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Dr. Xofylli was inspired to become an orthodontist by her father, who is a speech pathologist and cofounder of the first Craniofacial Team in Greece. To pursue this dream, Dr. Xofylli moved to Cleveland, Ohio to complete her Orthodontic Residency and receive her Masters in the Science of Dentistry (MSD) degree from Case Western Reserve University. While at Case, her research culminated in her Thesis on Biomechanics and Orthodontic Tooth Movement with Invisalign.
Dr. Xofylli is currently an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (GLAO), and the Dental Association of Thessaloniki, Greece.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She loves to vacation to anywhere that allows her to swim in the Aegean Sea.
Breanne is from Barberton, OH and is new to the Orthodontics field. She was inspired to go into orthodontics because of its family atmosphere and the joy she feels when patients feel better about themselves by achieving the smile they’ve always wanted. She is engaged and has a large, blended family with six kids. When she’s not in the office Breanne enjoys spending time with her family and asphalt oval track racing.
Hayley grew up in Warren, OH and has been in orthodontics for four years and has her X-ray certification from the Ohio Dental Board. Hayley’s warm personality allows her to build relationships with her patients, so they feel comfortable. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, a German Shepard named Rhea and a cat named Maisie.
Macy is from Louisville, OH and is building her career in orthodontics. She enjoys the hands-on nature of her job and believes everyone should have a beautiful smile. When she isn’t working she enjoys going to parks with her fiancé and two daughters and looks forward to her next vacation to the Bahamas.
Katrina is from North Canton, OH. She’s been in orthodontics for two years after earning her Associates of Science Degree in Dental Assistance. She has two wiener dogs, Maggie and Bacardi and her hobbies include playing PS4 and racing 410 Sprint Cars. Her own journey of having braces when she was young inspired her to go into orthodontics and she just loves fixing teeth!
